Terms and Conditions
The short version
- You decide what is deleted. CleanLeaf suggests; nothing goes until you confirm. Deleted photos and videos can be restored for 30 days: from the trash on Android, from Recently Deleted in the Photos app on iPhone and iPad.
- Some actions cannot be undone: deleting permanently, emptying the trash or Recently Deleted, uninstalling apps, and (on Android) losing both your vault PIN and recovery code.
- Premium is sold through Google Play or the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; a free trial turns into a paid plan unless you cancel before it ends.
- The free plan has a daily limit and shows ads.
1Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and DuruSoft, Türkiye (“we”, “us”), for the CleanLeaf app. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
If you use CleanLeaf on iPhone or iPad, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) applies to your licence to use the app. These terms add to it; if they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails for the iPhone and iPad app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it; we are.
2What the app does
CleanLeaf helps you free storage on your device. All of it happens on your device.
- On both platforms: it finds duplicate, similar and blurry photos, screenshots and large videos, lets you sort photos by swiping, and can compress videos.
- On Android it also finds large and duplicate files, unused apps and duplicate contacts, and can keep chosen photos in an encrypted private vault.
- On iPhone and iPad it also finds bursts and Live Photos, can turn a Live Photo into a still photo, and offers widgets and Siri shortcuts. iOS does not let apps read other apps’ files, list installed apps or clean system storage, so CleanLeaf does not offer those features there.
3Your decisions and deleted items
- Suggestions such as “best shot”, “similar” or “blurry” are made by automatic analysis and can be wrong. Check before you confirm.
- On Android, photos and videos you clean are moved to the trash (Android’s trash, or the app’s own on Android 10 and earlier). They can be restored for 30 days, after which they are deleted for good. If you turn on “Delete permanently” or empty the trash, they cannot be restored.
- On iPhone and iPad, iOS asks you to confirm every deletion. Deleted photos and videos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can restore them for 30 days. The space they take is freed when Recently Deleted is emptied, by you or by iOS after 30 days; CleanLeaf cannot empty it for you.
- If your photos are also in a cloud service, that service follows its own rules. With iCloud Photos on, deleting a photo on one device deletes it on all your devices that use iCloud Photos.
- On Android, merging or deleting contacts changes them in your contacts account; the app keeps a local backup so you can undo it, as described in the app. Uninstalling apps from CleanLeaf is done by Android after you confirm each one, and removes that app’s data.
- After a video is compressed, or a Live Photo turned into a still photo (iPhone and iPad), the new version is saved to your photo library. The original goes to the trash or to Recently Deleted only if you chose that and the system confirmation is accepted, and can be restored there for 30 days; otherwise it stays where it was.
4Private vault (Android)
Vault items are encrypted on your device. We cannot open them or recover them for you. If you forget your PIN and lose your recovery code, the items cannot be recovered. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes the vault; export what you want to keep first. On the free plan the vault holds up to 10 items. If Premium ends, everything already in the vault stays and still opens; you can add more again with Premium, or on the free plan once you are under 10.
5Free plan and Premium
- Free plan: core cleaning with a daily limit of free deletes (shown in the app), and ads. You can earn extra deletes by watching a rewarded ad when one is available.
- Premium: no daily limit, no ads, and the extra features shown in the app. Offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and in the store before you buy and may differ by country.
- Lifetime means Premium for as long as we offer CleanLeaf in that store, with no further payments. It is tied to the store account you bought it with: your Google account on Android, your Apple Account on iPhone and iPad. A purchase in one store does not carry over to the other.
- Free trial: where offered, the yearly plan may start with a free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription. If notifications are on, the app reminds you 2 days before the trial ends; you can turn the reminder off in Me › Settings › Notifications. The store decides who is eligible for a trial. On the App Store, any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Payment and renewal on Android: payment is charged to your Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
- Payment and renewal on iPhone and iPad: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or in CleanLeaf under Me › Settings › Subscription.
- On both platforms you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Price changes: if we change a subscription price, the store tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your agreement. You can cancel before the new price applies.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy. On Android, within 48 hours of a purchase you can request one yourself on Google Play. On iPhone and iPad, request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from Me › Settings › Subscription in the app; Apple decides. If the store declines, email us and we will help where we can. This does not limit any right to a refund or to cancel that you have by law.
- Right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, UK or Türkiye, the law may let you withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. If you started using Premium during that time, you may have to pay for the days used. A Lifetime purchase is digital content delivered at once: by buying it you ask for it to start immediately, and where the law allows this (in Türkiye, Distance Contracts Regulation Art. 15(1)(ğ)), the right of withdrawal ends when it starts. Consumers in Brazil may withdraw within 7 days (CDC Art. 49). To withdraw, request a refund from the store or email us.
- Restore: Premium can be restored on another device with the same store account, using “Restore purchases” in the app.
6Ads
The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob, with the consent required in your region. Do not click ads you are not interested in or try to generate ad activity artificially.
7Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the store’s terms (Google Play’s terms on Android; on iPhone and iPad, the Standard EULA and Apple’s Usage Rules). The app, its design and content remain ours.
8Acceptable use
Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app except as the law allows, tamper with purchases or limits, or use the app to break the law or anyone’s rights.
9Third-party services
Google Play and the App Store (payments, updates), RevenueCat (purchase checks) and Google AdMob (ads) are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
10Changes to the app
We may change, add or remove features, including the free daily limit, to keep the app working and fair. We will not take away Premium features you paid for during a paid period.
11Liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties beyond those in these terms, including that the app will be error-free or that a suggestion is correct. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for items you deleted after confirming, permanently deleted, or that the system removed from the trash or Recently Deleted after 30 days. Our total liability to you for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 10 if you have not bought it. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under consumer protection law in your country (in Türkiye, Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection), and liability for intent or gross negligence.
12Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it (cancel any subscription in the store first if you do not want it to renew). We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 3, 4, 11 and 13) continue after the terms end.
13Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts or before the consumer authorities available to you there. In Türkiye you can apply to the consumer arbitration committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the consumer court (Tüketici Mahkemesi), within the monetary limits set each year. Before going to court, please contact us: most issues can be solved quickly by email.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app or the law changes and will change the “Effective” date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or in the store release notes before it takes effect.
