01 Scope & Data Controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the Video Compressor - Convert Android application ("the App"), developed by DuruSoft ("we", "us"). DuruSoft is based in Turkey and, as such, also complies with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698). This policy explains what data is processed when you use the App, for what purpose, and with which third parties, if any.
02 Permissions We Request
The App only requests permissions it actually uses — none of them serve a hidden purpose.

03 Data We Collect
The App has no account system, no sign-up, and no user profile. The data we do collect is narrow:
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob, subject to your consent, to serve ads (see Section 5).
- Subscription status: if you purchase Premium, Google Play tells us "subscription active" — your card number, name, or billing details never reach us; Google Play handles them entirely.
- Optional support details: if you email us for support, any device model / Android version / app version you include is used solely to diagnose your issue.
04 Your Files: Local Processing
This is the most important part of this policy. Compression, conversion, merging, cropping, and every other video/audio/image operation runs entirely on your device's processor. We have never operated, and do not operate, a server that receives, stores, or processes your media files.
Processed files are first created in the App's own private folder. If "Save to Gallery" is on (enabled by default), a copy is also written to your device's gallery. You can delete either copy at any time from the Outputs screen or your device's gallery app.
05 Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to show ads in the free version. On first launch, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for your consent regarding personalized vs. non-personalized ads — you can change this choice anytime from Settings.
Google Play Billing
Premium subscription purchases are processed through Google Play's own billing system. Subscriptions renew automatically; you can cancel anytime from the Subscriptions section of the Google Play app.

06 Retention & Deletion
Because your media never leaves your device, retention is entirely in your hands — delete the file or uninstall the App, and no copy remains with us. For the limited data described above (advertising ID, etc.), Google's own retention policies apply.
07 Children's Privacy
The App is listed on Google Play with an "Everyone" content rating and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a parent believes their child has provided us with data, please contact duru.sofft@gmail.com and we will delete it.
08 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Know whether we process any data about you
- Request a copy of the data we hold
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Object to processing

09 Data Security
Because your media files never leave your device, our biggest security advantage is already built into the architecture. For the limited data we do collect (advertising ID, subscription status), we rely on Google's industry-standard infrastructure. No system can guarantee absolute security, but our approach minimizes exposure by design: what we don't collect, we can't leak.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
