Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Prompta ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by DuruSoft. For any privacy question or request, contact us at duru.sofft@gmail.com. If you write to us with Settings › Help & feedback, the email is pre-filled with your app version, Android version and device model so that we can help faster; you can edit or remove this before sending.

2. Information stored on your device

The following data is created by you and stored only on your device. We cannot see or access it.

3. Camera and microphone

Prompta asks for camera and microphone access so that you can record video while reading your script. They are used only while the recording screen is open and a recording is being prepared or made. The resulting video is saved to your device's gallery (Movies/Prompta). We do not receive, upload or analyse your video or audio. While a recording is running, the app shows a notification so that you always know the camera and microphone are in use.

You can use the app without these permissions in the camera-free "text mode", and you can withdraw them at any time in your device settings.

Voice commands (optional, off by default)

On Android 13 and later you can turn on voice commands in Settings › Remote control to control the script with short spoken phrases such as "devam et" or "dur". While they are on and the reading screen is open, the app listens to the microphone and passes the audio to the speech recognition service provided by Google on your phone. Depending on your device and settings, Google may process this audio on the device or on its servers; Google's handling of it is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Prompta only uses the recognised text to detect a command and then discards it: we do not store, upload or analyse this audio or text ourselves. Listening stops as soon as you leave the reading screen or the app goes to the background, and you can turn voice commands off at any time.

4. Files and clipboard

When you choose to import a script, the app reads only the file you pick (TXT, Markdown or Word) or, if you tap "Paste from clipboard", the text currently in your clipboard. The text is saved on your device as a script. The clipboard is never read unless you ask for it.

5. Keyboards, remotes and pedals

If you connect a Bluetooth keyboard, presentation remote or foot pedal, or use your phone's volume buttons, the app reacts to the keys you press on the teleprompter screens. It does not record, store or send these key presses.

6. Purchases (Prompta Premium)

Payments are processed by Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. To confirm that your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a subscription management service. RevenueCat processes:

• a random, anonymous app user ID created by the app (it is not linked to your name or email);
• your purchase and subscription records from Google Play (product, dates, status, purchase token);
• basic technical data sent with network requests, such as app version, operating system version, device language/country and IP address.

This data is used only to provide and restore your purchases and to prevent fraud. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. For help with a purchase, contact us from the app (Settings › Help & feedback) and include your Google Play order number.

7. Optional ads (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads in a few limited places, and never during reading, recording or sharing:

• An optional video ad that you can choose to watch to unlock the full text of a script on the teleprompter for the rest of the day (up to three times a day). It is shown only when you tap "Watch a short ad". If a recording is running, it is paused before the ad opens so that the ad's sound is not recorded.
• Ad cards in your script library and recordings, clearly labelled "Ad" — one after every four scripts or recordings, at most five per screen.
• An occasional full-screen ad when you tap "Start teleprompter", before the camera opens — never on the first day after installing, never on the first start of the day, at most once every 10 minutes and at most four times a day.

Premium users see no ads, and the ad SDK is not started for them.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited). To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

• your device's advertising ID;
• IP address and approximate location derived from it;
• device and app information (device model, operating system, language, app version);
• ad interaction data (for example whether an ad was shown or tapped).

Your choice. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent with Google's consent tool before any ad is requested, and ads can be personalized or non-personalized depending on your choice. You can change your decision at any time in the app under Settings › Data & privacy › Ad privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.

8. What we do not do

• We do not require or offer accounts or sign-in.
• Apart from Google AdMob (section 7), we do not use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data.
• Content leaves your device only when you choose to share it (for example with the system "Share" sheet).

9. Data retention and deletion

Data on your device stays there until you delete it. You can delete all scripts, the recording list and your preferences at any time with Settings › Data & privacy › Delete my data in the app, or by uninstalling the app. Videos in your gallery are not deleted by the app; you can remove them with your gallery app. RevenueCat keeps purchase records as described in its privacy policy; to request their deletion, contact us with your Google Play order number.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Türkiye's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we do not keep your content on our servers, most of these rights can be exercised directly in the app. For purchase-related data, contact us at duru.sofft@gmail.com.

11. Children

Prompta is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security. Communication with Google Play and RevenueCat is encrypted (HTTPS). Please keep your device protected with a screen lock.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add new features. We will change the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, inform you in the app.
